Srinagar, Dec. 8: According to officials, two policemen were killed in an alleged homicide-related shooting incident that occurred on Sunday in the Udhampur region of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources, the killed police officers were on their way from Sopore in north Kashmir to the Subsidary Training Centre (STC) Talwara in the Reasi district of the Jammu region.
According to reports, the officers’ bullet-riddled bodies were discovered inside a police van close to the Kali Mata temple in the Rehembal neighborhood of Udhampur at around 6:30 in the morning. Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir
“PS Rehmbal was notified that two Sopore police officers were shot and injured while traveling in a department vehicle towards STC Talwara. According to preliminary investigation, it is a case of suicide and fratricide. A police spokesperson on X stated that senior officers had arrived at the scene and that an investigation was underway.
According to SSP Udhampur Amod Nagpure, the event occurred at 6:30 a.m.
The police officers were traveling from Sopore to the Talwara training facility. Police have arrived at the location. According to the preliminary inquiry, it was established that the incident involved the use of an AK-47 weapon. There have been two police fatalities. A third police officer is secure. He informed news agency ANI, “They will be taken to GMC Udhampur for postmortem and other procedures.”
According to officials, the event claimed the lives of a head constable and a driver constable.
